Surface, a tablet PC from Microsoft

The mystery about the tablet PC from Microsoft is finally revealed. This MS Windows manufacturer is officially introduced the surface, their first tablet PC.
Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer unveiled Surface in Los Angeles, United States. This device has a thickness of 9.3 millimeters, weighs 1.5 pounds and comes with a 10.6 inch wide gorilla glass.
“We want to give Windows 8 our own innovative devices ” said Ballmer, about the reasons why Microsoft is also making the tablet PC.
“A new device, in contrast, the series comes from the ranks of Microsoft computer software,” he continued.
Surface itself comes with several variants. There is Windows RT and Windows 8 version. For Windows RT version will be usingĀ ARM microchip , and the storage of 32 GB and 64 GB. While the Windows 8 version carrying the Intel chip and a choice of 64 GB storage and 128 GB.
Another feature of the Surface is equipped with a USB port, dual WiFi antenna, multitouch keyboard, and trackpad. Unclear how much the selling price of each product.
“Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Paul Allen has made a huge gamble in the software choice. But we also continue to encourage innovation about the hardware, which sometimes manufacturers have not done so,” said Ballmer, quoted on CNN on Tuesday (6/19/2012) .
